Now, since being fixed, she is spastic!!! Whenever she see's us put on shoes she goes crazy. She is crate trained and saying she is obsessed with her crate would be an understatment. Example - at night I usually always go to be around 9. Well, it's like she has an alarm that goes off in her head telling her it's time to go to bed. And until we all go to bed she will run around the house whining. Sometimes she gets so worked up that she has a accident in the house. She wants in her crate at all times. I know they say that they feel this is a "safe" place for them, but she used to not be like this. Is there anything I can do? I've tried taking up the crate, coaxing her out of it with treats - nothing works!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
It has nothing to do with being spayed. Yorkies are a creature of habit. 9:00 is her bed time....and that's what she wants. A crate is their Den and these dogs are Den animals.......She likes it, leave her alone....Let her move at her own pace....she'll come out when she's ready.
