Another way to save money: I use Revolution, and I asked my vet to prescribe the 85-130 lb size, and she figured out the doses for me to use on my 3 cats and 4 dogs. I bought a special vial to store leftovers in online, and just measure out individual doses for everyone once a month. One 6 month package was $109.00, and I have enough to treat my household for 2 years. It prevents Heartworm too, so I save there by only having to use one product for HW, fleas, ticks, and mites.
Does Revolution really work for ticks? I know you're in MD, too, do you see a lot of ticks? I live out in the "country" though so I'm sure ticks are around more. Didn't know if Revolution would take care of the ticks. My vet told me he was going to start selling this the last time I was there.

I use a generic brand of heartworm medicine, it's supposed to be just like Heartguard, BUT I get it from a vet.... it's called Iverhart. I wouldn't trust Walmart.
