I take my little ones to stores too, in their stroller so that I can shop in peace. I find (at least where I am) that it's okay. I ask the manager first, though. I explain that they'll be in their stroller and that I walk them outside first so that there will be no accident (uncomfortable smells coming from the stroller). Even Homedepot and Lowe's have come to accept it
But I don't do it in closed-in restaurants or where there's food, like grocery stores and such, for obvious reasons, plus it would be torture for my babies not being able to sample something that smells like CHICKEN
