The only thing he was trying to accomplish was finding a combination of dogs that wouldn't cause an allergic reaction in a person who was severely allergic to dog saliva and dog dander. It took the man a long long time to finally get one puppy out of a who litter of labradoodles, and I think it was like a generation 2 breeding, who didn't cause an allergic reaction in the patient. I remember reading an article where the man felt terrible because he felt responsible for the "designer dog craze". He wasn't trying to do it for the money, he was just trying to help one guy out who needed the service of a service animal, I doubt he cared much for money at all...I'll try to find that article for you if you'd like to read it.
