I agree. I'm not sure which particular rescue group they used (I believe it's one from Mahattan) but I can probably find out. But even if I do that (which I will), they can still get a cat from someone else ... from any vet's office for like $35 or from a different shelter that isn't a RESCUE. I know most rescues are really picky as to who they allow to adopt their animals. But shelters are so over-crowded and sometimes tend to allow people to adopt their pets because they need more space for other animals. It's so heartbreaking and sad. Also, it's so easy to get a cat because there is such an over-population of them.
