It is that easy though. The parent can get up and leave, why can't they because it will ruin THEIR dinner? So instead they ruin everyone else's?
It is not at all rude to expect to go out to dinner and have a quiet meal without screaming children at the table next to you.
Thankfully MOST times I encounter this either another patron or a manager has told the parent to leave.
