I am the first to admit that I am a dog person WAY over the fact that I am a kid person, LoL.. but with young siblings (3 and 7) and cousins, etc, I understand the fact that a kid is going to be a kid. So it doesn't really bother me... sure it'd be nice if every kid was perfectly behaved in a restaurant but kids have temper tantrums and bad days, it just happens. I hate when people give us glares or dirty looks if my 3yr old sister is for some reason acting up... it happens and if you don't wanna deal with it, eat at home or go to a place you know is going to be mostly adults!
And it's a LOT harder to find babysitters or pay for them and sometimes parents just want to go out to dinner and enjoy bringing their kids with them... dogs don't require a babysitter and we CAN leave them at home for a few hours. We can't just leave my 3yr old sister at home for a few hours when we randomly decide we want to go out to eat (tho sometimes I wish we could.... hahaha). So I do think it's a big difference.
I def. agree that my dog is MUCH better behaved than most children and wouldn't disturb or ruin anything inside a restaurant... I am not denying that!

But I think it's just the principle of it... I dunno. Like I said, I don't see anything wrong with running into a store (like Target, or Walmart, or something) with a dog in your bag if you can't leave them in the car. But when you KNOW you are going out to eat at a restaurant that does not allow dogs... just leave them at home. Just my .2 cents for whatever it is worth... this coming from a total DOG over kid lover, haha
