Yes he was only 6 weeks old when I got him .. I thought I had done the right thing .. Kennel Club breeder etc, got to the house on a hot night we had, we were given the paper work quickly, a cab was ticking on the meter £30 in the end for the trip! the lady showed me the top copy, wafted it under my nose while I had a grumpy yorkie mum round my feet, 3 of my children hot and wary of the dog, so I paid and left .. her words on the phone said old enough to leave, I wrongly assumed 8 weeks .. at home looking at his papers properly saw he was 6 weeks ... I did a crash course that night on 6 wk pups and he is training lovely, the vet is happy with him and he has 2nd set of jabs on tuesday. I did speak with the breeder the next day who said she would take him back .. but he was in a whelping box upstairs in a bedroom and filthy being fed raw tripe .. I chose to keep him at mine and glad I did.

Hopefully by getting up the extra ten minutes early has made the difference ... and my bedroom being darker which I think helped!
So glad to hear things went better! Sometimes getting up only a few minutes earlier can make the difference.
