Update:

We aren't allowed to use the tether line method at our building... for whatever reason...grrrr. There's more than enough rooms for it, and no one ever uses the lawn for ANYTHING. But no allowed.

I still need help/ideas! She still has yet to go potty outside. We've had to a week and a day now so you can imagine how much pee and poop that's been cleaned up at the front door!
My husband really does love her so much it's ridiculous, but he said if she doesn't start going potty outside I'm gonna have to sell her or see if her previous owners will take her back... which I AM NOT GOING TO LET HAPPEN without a fight haha. [not a physical fight... just for all you worry warts... more like a stubborn stance on keeping her no matter what!]

I understand where he's coming from since we are renting and will loose our safety deposit and possibly even have to pay more if the carpet gets ruined... which to be honest this blue high traffic carpet could use some updating.

Anyways please anyone that's had a similar problem with transitioning like this, help!!

I feel so bad she went from having a yard to run free in and do her business and now she's restricted to a leash... mind you I take her on walks and to the ball park to run... but doesn't seem to want to go potty on a leash.
