Apologized... really???? Well may be that is the problem here... if you said f*** y** and someone said to you that is rude would you respond..
"oh I did not mean f*** y** but I like saying f*** y** so deal with it" and think that was apologizing????
I mean you NO HARM and i am TRULY glad all worked out well.... but I hope you really look at what people are saying to you and not get so defensive. This is a life lesson that goes beyond the puppy.. it is how you deal with people. I hope you gain from this and not just get mad.
