My hubby and I had to be in surgery with Grace to help with the pups. Our very first c-section. Its not a quick procedure to spay or do a c-section. I never realised the time and worked involved with putting them under. This vet has been great. He rushed in to help a pup choking on a tiny tiny piece of chicken she got in her windpipe. He has been super. He is leaving next week so he will be missed. It will be nice to enjoy Gracie without the concern of puppies. Thanks again everyone!
It's a tough journey...One that I don't wish on anyone....breeding your girl, having her go through the gestation period and have her lose her pups. The emotions that are involved are very hard to go through. Even in a normal whelp; I know when I witness my girl's first hard contraction I always burst into tears. It was my decision to put her in that situation and I always pray that she realises that I do everything in my power to keep her safe.
