Hmmm, Riley certainly seems to have the qualifications -- nearly 1 year old and comfortably over the frail, standard, boring limit of 7 pounds. However, your inability to post his picture on this thread gives us cause for concern. How do we know you don't also struggle with scales? Perhaps Riley is only 5 or 6 pounds, but you don't know how to read the scale accurately?
Frankly, it was beyond my authority to accept Riley into the club with that big question hanging in the balance, so I turned the matter over to the Benevolent Executive Committee of the Teapot Club and Secret Society.
Here's their answer now, delivered by secret courier with a briefcase padlocked to his arm:
