Default Need advice! My bad boy has a bad habit...help!

So my sweet boy, whom I thought was perfect (minus a few minor things has a horrible habit. He is two years old and completely potty trained accept for when I'm sleeping, somewhere between 5-7am, he jumps out of bed and poops in the living room! I get to wake up every morning to a pile of poop in random places. He has been doing it for a few months now.

I need some advice because I'm not sure how to stop his habit. Normally when he has to go potty he tells me by scratching at the door but his morning visit to the living room is stealthy and silent, no warnings. He was crate trained but has been in bed with me since he was about 11months. Should I go back to the crate?

I feel like I've tried everything but that. I try to get up with him, jump out of bed and let him out but now he will go out when I let him, not potty and when I go back to bed he waits until I'm asleep or not paying attention and sneaks into the living room to poop.

How do I break this habit?? I also have an 8 mo old girl who sleeps in a crate still. Thanks for the advice!!
