I agree too that they shouldnt be banned, but something needs to be done. I will admit that the breed its self does scare me some, but at the same time I do know that under the right ownership they can be like any other pet out there. Any breed of dog can "attack"..unfortunatly some"pittbulls" do it to kill.

Good friends of ours owned a purebred American Stafford Terrier (i think thats right?

) and she looked very similar to pitt so I can see how different breeds of bully's can be confusing and all grouped into one breed. She was a wonderful family dog.
Here is a clear example of someone who shouldnt be owning a pitty..

My sister in law has a pittbull mix pup (8ish months old) and I cant stand the dog.(and it takes alot for me to say that) She is exteremely hyper, has no manners, doesnt obey simply commands and is in need of some major training. Even though she isnt aggressive, I can def. see where it can become an issue in the future if the owners dont get a handle on the dog. I generally wont go to my in laws if she is around. My son only wieghs 48 pounds, (at almost 8 years old) and she can knock him over with one leap on to his chest...
