Penny (my boxer) is soooooo good to my little ones. I think it helps that we bred her once and she was such a good mother. A few months after we bred Penny we got Tink and then a year later we got Chloe so she immediately took to mothering them and loving on them. As of right now she doesnt act possesive of the little dogs at all, she just watched over them, plays gently with them and she protects them when they are in the backyard which makes me feel really good. Penny is truly a wonderful dog, I just wish she didnt shed so much. Its amazing how loyal boxers are. Its kinda cute that your parents boxer was so protective of you when you were a baby( I can definetly see where that would be a problem for them, but still its cute) .
