That reminds me of a story about my oldest son Senior year of HS. He and his buddies wanted to drive to Florida for Spring Break and came to me with his plan. Armed with the "fact" he was 18 and could do what he please since he was an adult. I look at him and asked how much money he had saved ($150
) and instead of arguing I just looked at him "That's a really good idea". It worked so well that it became my across the board response. Worked like a charm every time
