PS. Once again it seems like people are getting mad at me. 1000$ is alot of money to me. I just thought I could ask a helpful yorkie community that would help me clarify my questions about it.
YES - parti colored yorkies CAN be registered with the AKC BUT they can NOT be show dogs, I think that's what you're asking. If you're buying a dog from a breeder who's dogs are AKC registered, she will have already registered the puppies, you just have to put the dog in your name with the AKC. IF you decided to breed your dogs and they are both registered with the AKC, the whole litter WILL be able to be registered with the AKC, parti or traditional. You're not planning on producing "show quality" puppies (otherwise you wouldn't be purchasing from someone breeding with a parti, so that's not an issue. Many people here have AKC registerd parti Yorkies, but they're not show dogs, that's the difference. There are thousands of dogs registered with the AKC who do not meet the perfect standards of a show dog, doesn't mean they can't be registered.
