I made my own car seat(well my 17 year old sister did) out of a milk crate. it fastens in securely and i did not pay much and i like the high strong sides of the milk crate to protect him. he lays in the bottom so if we had a wreak he would be protected from flying out of the car seat and dangling by his harness (unless the car was upside down) and he is protected from flying debris and being jerked around too much. I could not find one that i liked that was strong and secure so we created one.
