I wanted to make sure on the reference I listed before and investigated some more. Found several listing the same and also some listing normal fasting glucose level for dogs to be between 75 and 120 mg per deciliter. So your dog is still within the norm and probably in the fasting time period now if they have not been fed since the ingestion of the tiny pieces of meat.

Also thought about what you said about the meat -- you took the pieces from inside and not from the outer layer which had the BBQ sauce on it. I really don't thnk you have anything to worry about.

Are they keeping them for 24 hours or 72 hours? Sometimes they keep them for just 24 hours and then you bring them back periodically up to 72 hours for more glucose & liver function testing. Pls let us know what you find out.
