I have a Bichon. They should weigh 12-16 pounds, but mine is larger (everything I own gets BIG)!!!

Anyway, they are absolutely wonderful with other dogs and with cats (and people) also. This is a breed that is especially know for getting along well with other pets.

My Bichon is 21 pounds - and he and my new little 5 pound Yorkie play constantly. They have become wonderful friends in a very short period of time.

The Yorkie plays very rough and the Bichon plays just as hard, but is very gentle. He is constantly placing his paws on the puppy and head butts him a lot. Never growls, bites, or even uses his teeth to play. Right now, he is putting up with a lot of abuse from the puppy (who is constantly hanging on to his ears) and doesn't do a thing about it.

The puppy also eats all the food and the Bichon just stands and watches him do it.

Bichons - are a wonderful breed for people who are allergic to dogs. ..supposed to be the best... They do not shed and have no dander. I have had my Bichon for four years and have never found one white hair in my house.

Good luck!
