Just make sure you wash pee pads separately, otherwise you will transfer the scent to other things you own. The scent doesn't entirely come out unless specially treated, although a human nose cannot smell it. Remember, that urine is relatively sterile, unless your dog has an infection, and while feces is loaded with bacteria, you take off the poop and flush it away before you wash the pee pads. Use regular detergent to wash, and rinse using no fabric softeners, you're washer should be clean afterwards.
