hello! we trained rascal on a pee pad. Ive got the heavy type that you can throw in the washer and wash. We got Rascal when he was 8 wks. old and within a wk. he was useing the pad almost everytime. he will go out side if we are out there but as far as any other time, he knows to go to the pad. It is kept in the back room of our house were there is just my comp. and a piano so its not were everyone can see and he will take off running back there to use it.. never a accident in the floor. H even gets out of the bed early in the morning goes to the pad and comes back and jumps in the bed. I did what the lady I got him from said to do. She said when he pees on the floor wipe it up with that pee pad and leave it spread out there a couple days or when he poops.. pick it up and lay it on the pee pad a couple days.. till he starts getting his scent there. Thats what i did and he was trained so fast. I also sit him on it sometimes.. held him there a min. so he could smell his smell and say; this is were u pee Rasacal and tap the pad with my finger. We would clap when we seen him useing it... good job buddy and give him a treat. now i just keep the poop cleaned up soon as i can .. and if i throw the pad in the wash i will lay down a towel till its done and put it right back. Never goes anywhere else! That was a blessing!!
