Escape artist!? The weirdest thing happened. I usually leave Dutch gated in the kitchen with his stuff. There is only 1 exit to the kitchen and it is blocked by a 5 foot tall mesh gate. There is absolutely no way he can jump it nor fit under it. The mesh is too tight for even his nails to fit through, and he would have to climb over 5x his height to get over it, *if* he could get a grip, which he cannot. There was nothing near the gate for him to jump on as an interim step.
I have left him for 2 weeks here and he has never gotten out. However, I left him this evening to run to dinner, and by the time I came back a few hours later, he came running to me at the door from my bedroom!
I am truly beyond clueless as to what maneuver he pulled to get out. Short of flying, I really can't figure it out. I will give him one more chance tomorrow before having to leave him in his crate all morning and from lunch until when I get home from work. Weird... |
