Hi,

I am with Yorkies Inc...we try to take any Yorkie who is in need of a home whether it be an owner surrender, a retired breeder dog, or a dog from a shelter (which up here is rare that a shelter will turn a Yorkie over to us). We used the word placement as we spend a lot of time trying to place our dogs in the right home with input from their former owner or breeder as to what they feel is best for the dog they are surrendering over to us. We certainly would take any Yorkie in need of rescue and do whatever medical care is needed. We did take the" Maine Six" and would take them in again or any other dog like them again in a heart beat.

We are in the process of processing your application. There really are only two of us Cathie and myself (Kerri) that run Yorkies Inc (with both of us working full time jobs) with some help fostering if needed. I have been in Maine for the week on vacation, so I have not done anything this past week for Yorkies Inc. The only thing left is your home visit...we were hoping to have someone who does home visits or us in your area complete it but as of right now that has not happened. It is school vacation week so I am thinking she also was away this week. Living south of Boston you are about 2.5 hours away so it makes it hard for me to complete the home visit without having a full day free to do it. I know you have been in contact with Cathie at least 3-4 times via email. I believe you applied on or about April 15th and then your sister applied on the 17th so we have been processing your applications along with all the other applications we have gotten. I know you are anxious but we do require a home visit and it is taking some time to set up your home visit. We look at all of our applications for each dog individually and then decide the best placement for that particular dog.

An application could be approved to adopt from us, but that does not mean that they will definitely get the dog that they applied for, as we may have gotten a few good applications for that one dog and then we have to decide the best placement for that particular dog.
