Yes the process does take a little while. I can't say exactly how they process applications, but for Yorkie911 Rescue, it takes us about 10 days to 2 weeks, and this is because it's a very thorough process which includes reviewing the application, calling Vets, calling references, calling the person that is applying for a phone chat, conducting home visits and then the meet and greets to make sure a dog is placed properly.
Yorkies, Inc. happens to be a VERY good rescue, so please be patient. Most of us in this rescue field are volunteers and we do are best to get things done quickly in-between our "normal' lives!
