Unhappy Zoey Grace has a collapsed trachea

[COLOR="Purple"]Our 3 year old yorkie Zoey Grace was diagnosed with a collapsed trachea. She was honking bad for a few days, and after many trips to the er, she has finally calmed down. No honking for 2 days now. They have her on Hydrocodone, Prednisone and Doxycycline. If the meds don't work, she may have to have a stint put in. We will have to go to Knoxville, Tennessee for the procedure.
Also the doctor said where she had her neck fused together (she was born with a detached neck) two of her pins are broken and one is sticking out. He looked at the xrays and said the pins are not why her trachea is collapsed. But that the pins could become an issue later. We wonder how much do you put these little ones through? We will do anything to keep her around, but is it in her best interest? Any feedback will be greatly appreciated!!!
