It's been a rough go for my Ozzy. In Dec he suffered a serious head injury while at doggy daycare. We almost lost him but my little fighter recovered. It was one of the most horrible experience in my life. 4 months later he has zero neurological deficits. Truly a miracle. Our only issue is that he now has a voracious appetite and has gained 1lb and 11oz in 4 months!!! He was 5lbs and now he is 6.11. He gained 4 ounces in the last 4 weeks even though I have decreased his food and substituted carrots as treats. I'm not sure if this is related to his head injury. The only steroids he received was in the first 24 hours post accident. I am thinking of switching him from NB Duck Potato to California Natural lamb and rice low calorie diet. Does anyone have any experience with this food? Ozzy is allergic to chicken. Also if anyone has any ideas about the increased appetite I'm all ears. Thanks!!
