Now, I'm really more satisfied about thinking about the item, rather than actually having it. The only exception is if I reallllllly want something for a very extended time, then maybe; still, usually kinda anti-climactic.
I will say the expensive thing I *love* is my engagement ring and wedding band. I look at it every day and it never seems anti-climactic. It represents something meaningful too. |
I'm guilty of this as well. I have found it to be very anti-climatic, just like you've mentioned. That's why I think she personally has resorted to attacking others. She thought buying an expensive purse would satisfy her, it didn't, and so she is now trying to fill in that void by FORCING others to notice that she is superior in someway.
