I do not think anyone here doubts the existence of your other dog, Bella! We are all just a little surprised that you would call her “new” after a year and post so little about her previously, especially by name! I found it quite curious from a psychological standpoint, how seldom you referred to her by name! But only curious, I am NOT attaching any significant meaning to the idea.
I am also amazed that you think you can put the entire onus on God when it is convenient to relieve YOURSELF from all responsibility! I noticed that you did not hesitate to buy a “calming muzzle” to stop your dog from barking. Why did you not rely on God to stop the barking? Could it be that the barking bothered YOU? Why are you now relying on God to cure your dog? Could it be that the cost of the MRI might inconvenience YOU? I believe all good comes from God and if your dog is cured, then it will be thanks to God. But I also believe we have a responsibility to take action & use all the tools God puts within our reach to help in taking adequate care of our pets. God works best when we work with Him and try not to hinder His efforts. I appreciated Deuce’s analogy which reflects this concept! Relying on God does NOT relieve us of all responsibility or promote abdication of appropriate action.
I do not think ANYONE is going to believe you are making decisions based on your religious convictions when you drop the “f” bombs so casually in the very same post that you declare God‘s power. VERY CLASSY!! You have shown you do not have the maturity for pet ownership. I feel very sorry for these two yorkies (or any others that you have not told us about) that are forced to rely on you for a standard of care. THEY DESERVE BETTER! I initially tried to avoid negativity, in hopes that you would still change your mind and provide basic care for your Polo. You do not appear to be even considering this possibility. To ignore your neglect, would be to tacitly approve and I DO NOT!
Threatening to close the thread is yet another immature act of putting yourself above the needs of your dog. Very experienced folks have explained that the steroids would give a superficial & temporary improvement without actually treating the CAUSE. Please listen, please care enough to do the right thing. | Excellent post! You said it all perfectly, Debra.
