Onions are a definite no no, the toxicity builds up over time. They say the amount of garlic found in treats is not a problem for most dogs, but after reading yorkieusa's link, I don't think I'd give garlic either. I'd be careful feeding a puppy any new foods. The YTCA recommends that a puppy stay with the mother until it's 12 weeks old. When you bring it home, you need to keep it on the breeder's food for at least a week, so that you can see if any tummy upsets are caused by food changes or something more serious. I gave Joey plain unsweetened Cheerios as a potty training and grooming treat, they didn't cause any problems and most dogs love them.
