Well, everyone has different experiences. Mine has been that I don't see the nipples get so thick and round until they've been suckled. As a for instance, my Darla had her first and Junior (the only pup) sucked on just 2 of her teats (he had his favorites). Now, those teats have bigger nipples but the others still look like 'skeeter bites'. Guess it could vary depending on how they looked in the first place.
