It amazes me that people seem to think all vets are experts about every breed of dog. Unless a vet shows, and is actively involved in showing dogs, I don't think most really know anything about whether a dog is a well bred representative of any breed or not. They can tell you if it is a yorkie or not, and healthy at the time they see the dog or not, but not what the standard is and whether a particular dog meets the standard. So when people say "my vet said....."
