My puppies have never had to stay home by themselves except for short periods. I'm lucky there. So far. The thing that has always gotten me is to look back at the patio door and see the sad face looking back at me as I'm leaving.
Then I always feel so sad and could almost cry. I have always hated leaving my puppies and have always felt bad even though I know there is someone there with them. I suppose we suffer separation anxiety, too.
