I'm sure that your home will be a much more comfortable environment than a byb's cage, but are you really sure you can do this? If you are really doing this you should probably be prepared to take her straight to the vets office when she goes into labor.
I can't help but worry for the momma, in either situation it is sad that she is going through this...either with a shady breeder, or someone with no experience whelping a litter. A single hesitation on your part could mean the life of mom or the pups or both, especially with an unknown father. If you really think you are prepared for this I would say find a reputable breeder, or even the byb that this bitch belongs to and make sure they are there for you for the birthing process.
You probably won't have time to read/write posts on YT when things get started.
I'm not a breeder and thats incentive enough to keep me out of the whelping process. I wouldn't be able to handle that kind of stress. Knowing the little girl is relying on you to make it through alive and healthy

Why can't this BYB just keep mom where she is and just take the knowledge that 6 weeks is too early to leave mom and put it into process? Then start spay/neutering her dogs and let them live life as pets? If she is willing to let a pregnant bitch leave her care 2 weeks before labor, she needs to get out of the practice of breeding.
