I ONLY feed my two little dogs dry kibble. (Meaning I do not mix wet food, or anything in with their food. They do get healthy treats though) They don't eat MUCH at all. The higher the quality of the food, the less they need to eat is something to keep in mind.
My two are VERY picky eaters, and will eat one piece of kibble at a time, well maybe two if I am lucky. I hand feed them daily during training sessions, using their kibble as treats. I am lucky Bella falls for it every time, but Jett seems to know its not his good treats. LOL But he 'follows' his big sister and will eventually take the kibble, just because Bella does. (They are too funny!!!)
I would not worry too much about the nutrical. Honey is good, but am wondering if using that often if it would be good for his teeth????? Lots of sweet, sticky stuff. Just a thought! |
