I was hungry before I started reading this thread!
I'm not very adventurous with food. My dad hunts and fishes so I grew up eating a lot of wild meat, but got my fill of fish early in life and I can't stand seafood anymore.
When I was 6 and my brother was 8, my mom accidently packed the wrong sandwiches in our lunches for school. He got my cucumber sandwich, and I got his headcheese sandwich

I took one bite, thinking I did something wrong and my mom purposely put head cheese in my lunch to teach me a lesson! LOL! I tried to force that one bite down when my brother came to my classroom door with my sandwich, with the same disgusted look on his face that my mom made him eat a vegetable.
I am going to Europe soon and I told myself I'd eat something "known" from every country we visit. The only one I'm looking forward to is Italy... pizza, pasta, and gelato

But I will have to step out of my comfort zone in other places. Frog legs maybe? Haggis... Ugh, we'll see how I do!
