I have said before, but my Chloe had a spay and liver biopsy at the same time, this is a pretty invasive surgery and she was out a long time. They had her on a heating pad and kept an eye on her vitals the whole time. Once the surgery was over she was kept on the heating pad and had her own tech who was assigned just to stay with her until she was totally alert. She did great. As long as they are monitoring her, which it sounds like they are going to do everything should be fine. I think I would go with your vets advice on this. Good luck.
