That is absolutely true. I do agree that Pia wasn't much of a performer (and didn't have the country factor), I guess I just feel for her because I'm extremely shy/stage fright and I can just tell that she was absolutely trying her best and took everything with such grace and poise. I read on E! that she was an absolute emotional wreck after the show on stage...she took it bravely in front of the audience and then shriveled up when the cameras stopped rolling. I think she tries to hide her insecurities and appears stoic and impenetrable, which is why the American audience couldn't relate to her/understand.
