I got my two at a petstore also and I don't regret it, but I can't recommend that anyone go this route. They count on you to feel sorry for that doggie in the window. They just want to empty the cage to fill it again and again and again.
I bought my third from a breeder as I could not repeat my earlier mistakes but I love all three equally.
