I'm in tears reading of that little desperate dog's attempts to cuddle with you and playbite your fiance's beard to try to win your favor so he could get some simple human interaction and love, sick and scared though he was. I could not in all good conscience have put that sick baby back in that cage, turned my back on him and walked out that door, no matter how much my buying him contributed to their operation. I would still be hearing that poor little dog's sneezes in my conscience and seeing his runny little nose in my mind's eye had I left him there. You did the only thing a compassionate dog lover could have done - you saved a dog that touched your heart. And that is all we can do sometimes - save the one before us.
