I don't know about the use of milk thistle specifically for liver cancer, but milk thistle is used for liver compromised dogs. Our dog takes the product Marin and the dose is 1/4 tablet once a day with food. Be careful with milk thistle you find in the stores as it is not always the right portion of milk thistle and also is loaded with alcohol most of the time.
