But you DO have the money to go to a holistic vet who then tells you Polo has food allergies and sells you expensive food and a "ton" of medicine and supplements? ummmm, HELLO??? That money could have been used to help pay for an MRI... I've been to a holistic vet and know the products they try to push. They are not cheap. Also how does this vet determine Polo has allergies to chicken and herring in just one visit? Allergy determination requires a blood test not a physical exam. I'm surprised this vet can look at your neurological dog and say he is specifically allergic to not only chicken, but herring as well.
Also you should NOT leave a dog showing neurological symptoms alone without the dog being contained. And NEVER leave him on any type of furniture that he can jump/fall off of. You're lucky he didn't break a leg or hit his head causing further damage. Even walking or running around can be harmful to him. If you have wooden floors he can hit his head when he falls down or rolls around or he can walk/fall into furniture. He should probably be on crate rest any way, or at least in an ex-pen to prevent too much activity since you don't know exactly what is wrong with him.
Please apply for care credit and get this pup the treatment he deserves. If you cannot afford it then surrender him to a rescue that can afford to treat him. Do what is best for him, not what is best for you. |

Please get Polo the medical attention he needs, from a neurologist.
