Default Just a Thought

It's good to hear you spend so much time with your little furbaby. They need lots of love! I would try leaving her crate out where you are with the door open.
When she goes in coax her out with a treat. Each time take the treat further and further away from the crate so she has to get farther away from it. Then . . . distract her with a toy. You will need special treats not the usual for this. Bella will do ANYTHING for a small piece of microwaved, plain chicken breast. Cut it super small. Smaller than a pea. When she goes back into the crate, do this again. Soon, she'll associate coming out as being better than staying in. She used to being in there so long that it is her truly safe place. Don't take it personally, she loves you very much, it's just that she has learned that her place is in her crate. You also might want to try leaving her in an ex-pen with her food/water, bed. Bella loves her ex pen. She is very content in it. She doesn't go potty in it because her bed is there and she is trained to only go outside. But, if your furbaby uses pee pads that could go in one side. They are always having them for sale on craigs list. I just couldn't bear the thought of Bella being in a crate while we were at work, so the ex-pen kept us both happy. I'm always happy to help, freel free to send me a pm any time. Bella was our very first dog and I had a lot to learn. The people on this forum were a BIG help and I love sharing everything I've learned. Have a great day!
