Gennies and Smallmans Thank you, for at least showing a little understanding and compassion. As I said before, I came here for help. If I had known I would be attacked, that would not have been the case. I love my Yorkie and I want her and us to be a happy family. I do not abuse her. I use a paper when I spank her so I do not hurt her. She is very strong willed and sometimes nothing else works. I do not spank her everytime she needs to be disciplined. She is like my child! She is crated during the day because I work and it is just the two of us. She was crated at night as a way to potty train. I did much research before doing this and it worked. She has always barked when I put her in the crate but research said this was not usual and they would eventually stop doing that. She never did and I just attributed the short period of barking to her strong-will. When she is out of her crate and the crate is put way, she is a happy dog. She is loved and she adores me. We play together, she plays by herself, and she sleeps peacefully on her blanket or in my lap if I sit down. But if she sees the crate, she wants in it and basically refuses to come out. I do not believe it is out of fear or she would not act as she does when it is put away. I was looking for help here. I hate to have to hide her "room". I would like for it to be a safe haven so she can go to it when she wants to rest but also, come out and play normally (like she does if I hide it). I appreciate anyone who might have helpful suggestions but I do not appreciate your criticism of me.
