1. No never punish a dog for returning it will work against you to do so!
2. Get a 24' leash or rope and work on recall (of course with a harness since we're talking about a Yorkie-CT)
3. Later practice recall in an enclosed area with no leash...use treats and positive reinforcement like praise.
4. Neutering helps so yes he may be smelling an attractive female...also why does he stay gone an hour...do you not run out the door after? |
