Mom is not in any physical pain that I can tell. Since her hemorrhagic stroke in 1997 (caused from Coumadin), she has been unable to communicate with words that make sense and has never been able to really understand what anyone else says. So, I don't think she really knows what I am saying to her at this time. But, I do know she can see it in my eyes and by the tenderness in my voice. She has suffered mentally with mega frustration since 1997. As far as physical pain, I just do the best I can to try and figure out if she is hurting. I have seen her SO frustrated over the years. She has always known something was wrong with herself. It eventually turned into Vascular Dementia. She has suffered enough. God Bless her little soul.
