I have a foster named Rookie. I will never forget the reason he was surrendered to YHR. He had a fractured leg for six months because his owners could not afford the vetting.
So..he lived in pain for all that time.
The reason it was fractured?? Because he kept getting out and running down the street and the owner told me that one day "the inevitable happened". Made me want to scream, but I took him and left without a word. It was only "inevitable" because she CHOSE to be irresponsible. HE did not make the choice.
