Again, Devil's Advocate. If you have an unneutered male, you KNOW that nature will shine through given the right circumstances (a nearby female in heat). Unneutered males will go go all kinds of crazy lengths to get to one, crawling over fences or chewing through them, fighting off other dogs, even being killed by running in to traffic just to get to the female. If you don't want any "ooops" litters, you neuter the male. If you are planning on studding him out (responsibly), then you don't take him any place where he is likely to encounter a female in heat. It takes two to tango, or in this case, tie.
