A CBC (complete Blood count) is an evaluation of everything that is going on within your dog's body....White Cell, Red Cell...Kidney, Heart, Bile....it alerts the doctor as to whether the pup is experiencing any infection or whether or not it can undergo anesthesia... It is one step that shouldn't be omitted.
Also, speak to the vet on what type of anesthesia is used, whether the pup is intubated.....if the pup is instrumentally monitored during the procedure...
