Perhaps I wasn't clear enough but If you read carefully I wanted to make sure he was okay. Thought I may have been hurting him so I placed him on the floor. Realized what he was trying to achieve and picked him back up. Also, dogs and puppies alike go outside to potty. Niko is being dual trained but I'm not going to keep him pent up in the house. Esp. since the medicine he is on is ridding him of the bacteria. The field was clear of dogs. NO dogs had been there because my fiance works there and it is not a "dog friendly place". He is only allowed because of the his daddy working there. So there is no dog feces, urine, squirrel feces, etc. The worst that is out there is the leftover fall leaves from the spring returning.
